Chillingly thrilling!

I've just made this blood-curdling (or at least slightly worrying) poster for Carters Steam... I mean, Scream Fair, at Uxbridge Common next weekend. Come dressed as your favourite terrifying apparition and get the chance to win £50 of free rides!

The Trip Out

The first Trip Out was a great success, held in September in rural Bedfordshire - great company, music, hot rods and bikes! Looking forward to next year already!

They asked me to make all the promotional material for them, posters, stickers, and T shirt designs, and even the showcards for the bike show... it was a pleasure to work with them!

Waspish

I made this logo a little while back for Jonny Wilson of Subscuptures fine art and photography. Jonny takes a great photo!

Tankus the Henge

I've just made this poster for apocalyptic carnival rock'n'rollers Tankus the Henge for their residency in Edinburgh during the Edinburgh Festival. If you're in town, check em out...

Intrepid adventures

My mate Andy Baldwin is a fantastic, inventive sculptor who makes machines as sculpture. Some of his work can be seen on his website here. For the last couple of years he's been building himself a boat, and a few weeks ago he set off on an epic single-handed journey in it across the Atlantic, where he would convert the boat into a land-lubbing vehicle and drive it across Canada.

Unfortunately Canada decided they didn't really want a madman holding up all the traffic in a walking boat, so he's now hoping to drive it around Iceland's highway 1 instead.

This design is what I made for the nameplates of his boat - unfortunately I haven't got any great photos of the boat itself.

Coming soon!

Littleboy's vintage funfair, and website... watch this space.

Carters Steam Fair in Weston Super Mare!

I did these three posters for Carters in Weston Super Mare this summer - if you're in the area you'd better get down there and claim your half price rides before 1pm!!

Ice cool!

I have just been working on a series of illustrations of this polar bear for a large company. He digs sustainability baby...

Hot Rod Hayride

We had a great time at the Hot Rod Hayride this year! Anna Porter asked me to paint a trophy for the best hot rod, so I did this little blingy number on glass... I'm not sure who won it in the end, but there were so many amazing cars there I wouldn't have liked the job of choosing!

Carters Steam Fair

I still do quite a bit of work for Carters - here's a double-page advert I made for them recently for their weekend in Pinkney's Green. Follow them on FacePlace if you are so inclined!

How's them apples?

I've just designed a series of labels for Dan Baldwin of the East Stour Cider Co - they make organic ciders, cider vinegars and apple juice in the countryside of Kent.

He came to me with the concepts for both, and I had a go at making them so.

Carnival time

Charivari Day is an annual street carnival in Folkestone, run by Strange Cargo arts company, who choose a theme for each year. This poster is all about being by the sea in Britain!

Road Star

John and Steve at Road Star Cycles have very generously let me "work" with them for one day a week, learning mechanics. They're highly skilled engineers and their knowledge of British bikes is unsurpassed - if you need some running repairs, or a total rebuild, they're the people to go to!

Turn on… Tune in… TRIP OUT!

I was asked by Anna and Estelle to design the poster for their new event The Trip Out. The lettering is inspired by the original 60s film poster for The Trip which I used to have on the wall years ago.

I've also designed them a leaflet. It promises to be a great event!!

American Gothic

A poster for the Handsome Family, who are playing in London on 27 May.
